The scoring began early, with Vitaly Abramov netting the first goal just three minutes into the game, catching Sibir's defense off guard with a swift counterattack. The first period ended with CSKA leading 1-0, despite Sibir's attempts to press in the opening minutes.
CSKA extended their lead in the second period, once again through Abramov, who skillfully redirected Nikita Nesterov's shot on a power play. Sibir's Sergei Shirokov managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 shortly after, but CSKA's defense, led by goaltender Dmitry Gamzin, held firm.
A key moment came when CSKA's Maxim Sorkin received a double minor penalty, offering Sibir a golden opportunity to equalize. However, Sibir failed to capitalize, allowing CSKA to maintain their lead into the third period.
The third period saw CSKA explode offensively, scoring six goals. Abramov completed his hat trick early in the period, giving CSKA a comfortable 3-1 lead. Denis Guryanov then made it 4-1, followed by a quick exchange of goals between Sibir's Yegor Martynov and CSKA's Vladislav Kamenev, bringing the score to 5-2.
Prokhor Poltapov added to the damage, scoring a short-handed goal, and Vladislav Provolnev followed up with another tally, making it 7-2. With just seconds left on the clock, Ruslan Iskhakov sealed the dominant 8-2 victory for CSKA, capping off a brilliant display.
