Ak Bars Kazan secured a dramatic 3-2 shootout victory over Torpedo. The home team took an early lead, with Vasily Atanasov and Yevgeny Svechnikov scoring in the first two periods, putting them ahead 2-0. However, Ak Bars responded with goals from Artem Galimov and Dmitry Yashkin, leveling the game at 2-2 by the start of the third period.
Neither team could find the game-winner in overtime, forcing a shootout. Ak Bars' Ilya Safonov scored the decisive goal, securing victory. This win marked the 200th KHL victory for Ak Bars coach Anvar Gatiyatulin.
