Dynamo Moscow earned a solid 3-1 victory over Severstal at the VTB Arena in Moscow, with 5,820 fans in attendance.
The first period saw Dynamo open the scoring when Anton Slepyshev found the back of the net at 19:06, assisted by Jordan Weal. Dynamo's strong defense held firm, keeping the score 1-0 at the end of the period.
In the second period, Dynamo doubled their lead with a power-play goal by Artyom Ilyenko at 22:27, assisted by Daniil Pylenkov and Igor Ozhiganov. Severstal fought back, with Kirill Pilipenko cutting the deficit to 2-1 at 32:33. Both teams had chances, but Dynamo maintained their lead going into the final period.
Dynamo sealed the win early in the third period when Brennan Menell scored on the power play at 41:55, with Nikita Gusev providing the assist. Severstal pulled their goalie in the final minute, but Dynamo's defense remained strong, securing a 3-1 victory.
