A night where the Steelers had to win to keep their title hopes alive was met by a flurry of first period goals from the away side. Mitchell Balmas opened the scoring at the mid-way point of the first period with the assists going to Whistle and Juusola.
Just over five minutes later the Flyers would tie the game thanks to a Massimo Carozza goal at 15:42. Emmerdahl and Craig with the apples.
Sheffield would then take firm hold of this one with three more goals before the end of the first. Finishes from Tremblay, Tansey and Whistle would give the visitors at 1-4 lead after twenty.
An early marker, in the second, to half the deficit came on the powerplay from the Flyers. Phelix Martineau would get the tally with helpers from Heidi and Carozza.
Although, Sheffield would grab a further two in the second stretch their lead to 2-6. Tremblay and Whistle with both their second goals of the game would put the game almost out of reach.
Sheffield would continue to extend their lead in the third thanks to Jussola at 53:45.
An exchange of goals within the last five minutes of the game would see Carozza score his second, Dowd get the insurance and a late tally from Chiodo with four seconds to go, closed out this one. Sheffield go into the final weekend just a point behind the leaders.
