Goals and assists
Fife Flyers secured a three-point weekend with a victory over
Manchester Storm, a day after taking an overtime point out of
Altrincham.
Johan Eriksson scored twice in 18 seconds, converting a
2-on-1 from Kyle Osterberg at 8:15, before tapping in at the back post
of Lucas Chiodo's feed at 8:33.
Troy Lajeunesse excellently one-timed Osterberg's pass beyond Evan Weninger to put the Flyers three up after only 14:39.
Eriksson
made it a hat trick 6:16 into period two with the back-door finish on a
nice passing move to put the Flyers fully in control, with only a Cam
Critchlow goal at 35:34 getting Storm on the board before the middle
period was out.
That was as good as it got for the Storm, who were
outshot 15-8 by the Flyers in the final period which ended scoreless.
Fife's win moves them to within three points of a playoff place.
