Game recap

Belfast Giants recorded a four-point weekend thanks to beating Glasgow Clan by a single goal in front of 4,990 fans on a Halloween special at the SSE Arena.

With no goals in the opening period, the Giants thought they'd taken the lead in period two - however, Mark Cooper's finish from close range was washed out after video review for the net being out of position.

The home side had the majority of the offensive zone time in period three, and finally broke the deadlock with 10:53 to play. Ben Lake won the faceoff back to Will Cullen who blasted the puck past John Muse to put the Giants ahead. Muse made a series of excellent saves to keep it a one-goal game as the clock ticked down, but despite his 54 saves the Clan were unable to get a point out of the game.

In the other net, Jackson Whistle recorded a 19-shot shutout.
