Game recap

Two goals form Kim Tallberg helped Coventry Blaze to an overtime win on the road against Cardiff Devils, keeping Danny Stewart's team well among the top three in the Viaplay Elite League table.

The scoring was opened by Cole Sanford with just over 11 minutes played - Joey Martin passed the puck back into the slot, where Sanford one-timed it past Paavo Hölsä put the Devils ahead at 11:04. Kim Tallberg equalised for the Blaze some 90 seconds later as the opening period ended all square.

Coventry edged period two with 14 shots on Taran Kozun to the Devils' eight on Hölsa but with no further scoring for either team. Coventry killed off two penalties in period three but regulation would end without another goal being scored - both goalies coming up big for their teams when called upon.

Kim Tallberg won the game for the Coventry Blaze, netting the puck with a quick wrist shot just 16 seconds into overtime to take the bonus point.
