Game recap

Sheffield Steleers got their first win of the new Premier Sports Elite League season thanks to a 4-1 road victory in Guildford, a result that left the Flames with one point out of four from opening weekend.

An inch-perfect pass from Adam Raška set up Brandon McNally for the back-post finish at 11:33 to put the Steelers ahead. Guildford levelled 2:04 into period two through the impressive Peter Crinella who was given space to deflect home an Ian McNulty pass on the powerplay.

Scott Allen robbed Crinella of the puck as the Flames looked to build another powerplay breakout, and calmly slotted home to put the Steelers back ahead at 32:18, before adding his side's third some four minutes later - a goal upheld after video review.

Tomáš Pitule got the visitors' second shorthanded goal of the night at 46:26 to make the game safe.
