Game recap

Coventry Blaze continued their good start to the 2022/23 Premier Sports Elite League season, and remained second in the standings, with a 5-4 home win over Machester Storm.

John Curran scored the opening goal at 15:07 but the hosts would find themselves two down after the opening period as Ryan Barrow twice found the back of Paavo Hölsä's net on the powerplay.

Brady Norrish tied things up just under five minutes into the second, followed by Radek Veselý putting the home side back ahead some three minutes later. However, Storm were deadly on the powerplay and were back ahead through Scott Simmonds tying the game at 32:39, and Anthony DeLuca firing from the circle at 38:06.

Tallberg tied the game at 44:44, but he was to be the Blaze's hero late on. The Swede swept up a rebound from Curran driving the net to put the Blaze into a lead at 56:41 that they would not surrender.
