Game recap

Glasgow Clan survived a late Manchester Storm fightback to take the two points at Braehead Arena.

Clan went ahead just 2:29 into the game with a notable goal for young defenseman Liam Stenton. His shot going through traffic and into Jason Bacashihua's net was his first professional goal.

Just over four minutes into period two, Colin Campbell deflected Mitch Jones' shot from an angle to put the hosts two up. That lead was extended to three on the powerplay through Nolan LaPorte who hit the back bar of the net, and it needed video review to award the goal.

Manchester finally came into life with 35:06 on the clock - Ben Solder's first professional point was the initial shot in on Shane Starrett, from which Tayler Thompson poked home the rebound.

Hopes of a Storm fightback looked to have been all but washed out when Mathieu Roy scored just 104 seconds into period three to put the hosts 4-1 ahead, but two goals in just over four minutes brought the visitors right back into things. Joe Hazeldine scored with a smart shot at 45:49 to make it 4-2, while Austin Albrecht converted in front from Cam Critchlow's feed from behind the net to make it a one-goal game with 10:01 to play.

Storm went for the extra attacker inside the final minutes of the game, but they couldn't find an equaliser and Clan recorded three straight wins for the first time this season.
