Game recap

Fife kept their chances of finishing fourth alive with a late win in Glasgow over the Clan, whose winless run now extends to seven games.

Things started brightly for the home side, who led after the opening period thanks to Vaclav Stupka’s goal at 11:07. Fife pulled the scores back to one each when Evan Bloodoff equalised at 24:29, but the Clan were back ahead 40 seconds past the halfway mark of the game thanks to Zack Fitzgerald to lead 2-1 after 40 minutes.

Brett Bulmer levelled the game up 1:25 into the final period, before Bloodoff struck again 2:05 from the final buzzer to snatch the points for the Flyers.

The result means that both teams can still finish fourth, although Guildford now sit in the driving seat to do so. The Clan and Flyers clash again on Sunday, this time in Kirkcaldy.
