Guildford opened up a four point gap inside the Top 5 on the teams below them with a comfortable win over Milton Keynes.

Lightning held out for over ten minutes at the Spectrum, but found themselves two down at the first break. Jesse Craig put the Flames ahead 12:27 in, with Evan Janssen doubling the lead 2:20 after. With 3:05 on the clock in the second period Jamie Crooks extended the home side’s advantage to three, and just shy of four minutes later Joshua Waller made it 4-0.

Ben Davies made it five with just over ten minutes to go in the game, before player-Coach Tim Wallace extended his points streak to seven games with a late consolation for the Lightning at 55:29.
