Game recap

A good opening period from the Clan in Dundee was left the Stars with too much to do and helped secure a good road win for Glasgow in front of a big crowd at the Dundee Ice Arena.

Matt Heywood’s deflection on a Tyson Wilson shot was video reviewed and eventually given, to have the Clan ahead with 7:48 played. When Brendan Connolly was given too much space in the Stars’ zone he doubled the lead to 2-0 at 14:03 to put the visitors in a commanding position – that the Glasgow side’s 1800th goal in the EIHL

With no goals in the middle period, Matt Beca went about making the points safe as he added two more for the Clan at 43:57 and 50:16 respectively to make it four. Brian Hart pulled back a late consolation for the home side with 1:59 to go. The two points also marked the Clan’s 100th away win in the league.
