Croatia and Romania win big again

Croatia beat Ireland 2-1 while Romania won 10-1 against their neigbours from Bulgaria on the fourth day of fives in the World Championship div II in Zagreb. Both teams have won all four games and in the final game the two will meet to decide who wins the championship.

Ireland was too weak for this level. Today they suffered another huge loss. 21-4 to the host Croatia. All players on the Croatian roster got on the scoring sheet. Best point-wise were Marko Lovrencic (2+5), Kresimir Svigir (2+4) and Borna Rendulic (1+5). Dominik Kanaet was the best goal scorer with 4 successful shots.

Romania got a good start of the game against Bulgaria. 2-0 after 5 minutes. Best player today was Zsombor Antal with 2 goals and 2 assists. Romania out-shot Bulgaria 70-12.

Iceland beat China 5-3 and will finish third in the championship. Egill Thormodsson scored twice in the second period to lead his team to the win.

The last three games will be played today, Saturday. The game Croatia-Romania will be like a final. The winner takes it all.
