All set for promotion clash in France

Czech Republic and France will fight for victory and promotion in the very last game of World Women's Championship Division II in Caen, France. On the penultimate day of the event, Czechs demolished Denmark while France overcame Great Britain.

 
 
 
 

With average tournament attendance hovering around 1000 spectators per game, all eyes are set on Sunday evening. At 8:30pm, France and Czech Republic will meet each other and fight for a top spot and a promotion to Division I. Capacity crowd is expected and home team will hope to turn its backing into a decisive advantage.

Denmark 0:7 Czech Republic

Last game of the tournament for Team Denmark ended in disappointment as dominant Czech team completely outplayed and outshot its opponent. Czechs had 45 shots on goal, compared to just 12 Danish, and put themselves on course for victory with first goal after just 17 seconds.

Great Britain 1:4 France

Home team succesfully passed another hurdle in form of a resilient British team. France dominated the play but was unable to convert many shots into goals. Brits equalized early in the third period, but the hosts scored three goals in four minutes to claim a victory.
