Norwegian success continues

With more than half of the group stage played of Champions Hockey League both Norwegian teams top their group.

What a weekend for Storhamar! Two away games gave two wins. On Friday 2-1 against Sparta Praha in O2 Arena with goals by Joakim Jensen and Christian Larrivee and 37 saves by goalie Oskar Östlund.

On Saturday a 3-0 win against Geneve-Servette with a shutout by their other goalie, Robert Hestmann. This time the goals were scored by three Swedes: Hampus Gustafsson, Erik de la Rose and Jacob Berglund.

Storhamar now leads Group M with 6 points in 3 games. Sparta has 4 points in 3 while Geneve is last with 2 points in 2 games.

Stavanger Oilers is also on top of their group. Last Thursday they beat Trinec at home 4-1 and this Friday they earned one point from the away game against the same opponent.
