Rinne named European Player of the Month

Finnish World Championship goalie Pekka Rinne was named April/May European Player of the Month.

Pekka Rinne was outstanding in the 2014 World Championship. He led it in shutouts (3) and saves (220). He allowed five goals in the gold medal game against Russia but his save percentage still was 92.83% throughout the tournament.

Rinne was also named Most Valuable Player by the media.
