With today's 2-1 win over Luleå Skellefteå gets a 3-0 lead in the Elitserien final series.
Skellefteå AIK has only one the Swedish Championship once - 1978. But now the second championship is close. Martin Sevc and Viktor Arvidsson scored in the second period when Skellefteå beat Luleå 2-1 at home to gain a 3-0 lead in the series.
Luleå had taken the lead on a power play goal by Daniel Gunnarsson late in the first period.
Luleå pulled the goalie Johan Gustafsson a minute and a half before the end and managed to put some pressure on the Skellefteå net but the equalizer wasn't really close. They could have gotten a power play opportunity at 57:30 when the referees choose not to call an obvious tripping.
Game 4 will be played in Luleå on Thursday.
