Canada beats USA in the WJC semi final

Canada joins Russia in the final of the World Junior Championship in Buffalo. Mark Visentin, the Canadian goalie, was the brightest star when the host was defeated 4-1.
The Canadians beat the neighbour in the south 4-1 to qualify for another WJC final. Canada scored twice in the first period and added another two goals before USA could beat the Canadian goalie Mark Visentin for the only time.
Curtis Hamilton, Quinton Howden, Ryan Johansen and Zack Kassian scored for Canada. The American goal was scored by Chris Brown.
USA had been qualified directly to the semi final because they won their group in the first stage. Canada faced Switzerland in a quarter final yesterday.
In the final Canada will play Russia who beat Sweden in the first semifinal.
