Canada vs. USA in the WJC semi final

Canada beat Switzerland 4-1 in the World Juniors quarter final and will face USA in the semi final tomorrow in HSBC Arena in Buffalo.

 
 
 
 
Switzerland's Inti Pestoni scored the first goal after only 1:09 to put some pressure on the Canadian favourites and it took another 14 minutes before Ryan Johansen could tie the game. Casey Cizikas added another Canadian goal in the middle act. Four minutes into the final period Louis Leblanc made it 3-1. Zack Kassian scored an empty-netter two minutes before the final whistle when Swiss coach Richard Jost had pulled goaltender Benjamin Conz.

The semi final between USA and Canada will be played at 19:30 (GMT -5) Monday night in Buffalo.

"It´s going to be a tremendous game tomorrow same it was last year," said Ryan Johansen to IIHF.com. "We´re really looking forward now and start preparing. They have been one of the top teams of this tournament in the last few years."
