After trading games on the weekend, it was down to Tuesday night's game to decide who took the three game set between Anyang Halla and the Free Blades. The Blades weren't about to give it up without a fight. Halla decided to start Hyun-Seung Eum in net.

The Blades started at 3:44 when Fletcher got the puck into the net and a minute and a half later Takahashi also scored. The only penalty of the first came with Shinohara in the box for the Blades, but Halla couldn't use it to draw closer. Instead Tanaka scored short-handed for the Blades. 12 minutes in Takahashi scored his second of the game to put the Blades up 4-0. The Blades outshot Halla 24-10 in the first period.

After the lop-sided first, one would expect Halla to come out roaring. But it didn't happen. Wrigley quickly scored for the Blades a couple minutes into the second and miday through Shinohara also scored making it 6-0. Both teams took a couple penalties, but only the Blades managed to score on them. Halla was outshot 13-9.

In the third period Halla finally sprung to life. Early on Derlago scored the first goal at equal strength. Miday way through the period the Free Blades started to get in to some penalty trouble as multiple roughing penalties were called against both teams but Halla ended up with a couple of 5 on 3s. In two and a half minutes Halla scored three more goals, two from Woo-jae Kim and another from Derlago, making it 6-4. Halla had to wait until the final minute to get the goaltender pulled but he was only out a few seconds when Wrigley scored his second of the game on the empty net making it 7-4.

Wrigley had 2 goals and an assist with Takahashi getting 2 goals for the Blades, while Radunske had 4 assists and Don-ku Lee had 3 assists for Halla. The wins gave the Free Blades some much needed points. Had they lost to Halla, with several games in hand it would have been difficult for them to maintain their rank in the standings.
