Groups were set based on the previous IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship results; Group A, hosted at SBP Arena in Ottawa, home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, features Canada’s National Women’s Team, the defending gold medallist, along with Finland, Switzerland and the United States.
