Game recap

Nottingham Panthers made it two straight league wins with a comfortable victory over Glasgow Clan at the Motorpoint Arena.

The Panthers scored a pair of goals in each period and were already two up inside 12 minutes against their Scottish opponents who have still yet to win a game this season. Jordan Kelsall tapped home JC Brassard's pass to make it 1-0 with 7:56 played, followed by Tanner Sorenson tidying up a loose puck in front of John Must at 11:36. Gary Haden pulled one back for the Clan before the first period was out.

A Mitch Jones pass hit Steven McParland and bounced past Jack Berry to level the game 3:08 into period two, but the Panthers were back ahead four minutes later. Good work from Mike Hammond set up Brett Welychka for a shot in front, and although the rebound fell to Hammond it was a deflection off Muse's stick that put the puck into the net. Welychka tipped a Mike Caruso shot through on 31 minutes to give the Panthers a 4-2 lead.

Sorenson grabbed his second of the night off an excellent pass from David Levin, while Matt Myers was the beneficiary of a Craig Puffer feed to make it 6-2 shorthanded with 48 seconds left to play.

Although we did not know it this was to be Cameron's last game in charge of Clan
