Game recap

The Cardiff Devils kept up the pressure on league leaders Sheffield with a three-goal road victory in Glasgow in Sunday's lone game.

Glasgow lost goalie Shane Starrett after last night's defeat in Manchester, starting Jordan McLaughlin in net opposite Taran Kozun.

The game was goalless through 30 minutes with McLaughlin the netminders stopping 13 shots combined in the opening period. The deadlock was broken at 30:21 as Clan caught the Devils on the long change 3-on-2 and Colin Cambell beat Kozun short side.

Cole Sanford levelled the score just under two minutes later getting on the rebound of Josh Lammon's shot in close. However, Clan were back ahead at 34:27 when Mathieu Roy was on hand to hit home a loose puck.

Clan held their lead until 49:54 when Lammon deflected Cole Sanford's shot in front of McLaughlin to tie things up. The Devils then took the lead on the powerplay through Lammon tipping Branda Mikkelson's shot in front to give them their first lead with 7:32 left.

Sam Duggan capitalised on the Clan turning the puck over on their own blueline to slot home 55:49, before Brandon McNally found the empty net with 1:34 to play.
