Guildford Flames booked their place in the Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals with a shootout win in Cardiff - a result that also assures the Flames of winning the group.

An Ian Watters powerplay goal opened the scoring for the Flames ay 6:42, but two goals from the Devils in just over four minutes turned the game on its head. Joey Martin and Sean McMonagle converted on the powerplay, before Matias Sointu made it 3-1 with 36:55 gone. Ian Waters' marker with four seconds left in the period brought the Flames back to within one.

The only goal of the third period came fro mCam Braes, equalising with 47:50 played. The game was eventually decided in a shootout, with the Flames winning in in round five thanks to TJ Foster scoring, and Mark Richardson's shot being saved by Travis Fullerton.
