Jokerit takes a 2-0 lead in the series against the Helsinki rivals HIFK after tonight's 4-2 win. Petteri Nokelainen scores twice. Jukka Hentunen and Janne Lahti also got goals for Jokerit.

KalPa wins also the second game against Lukko. Iiro Pakarinen scored in the first period. Mikko Kukkonen in the second. Jussi Pesonen added an empty-netter with 3 minutes remaining. Ari Ahonen in the net made 32 saves in the 3-0 win.

Porin Ässät

Ässät was the only winner from game one to lose the second game. Blues won 3-0 after goals by Jari Sailio, Ville Lajunen and Toni Kähkönen. Iiro Tarkki earned the shut-out with 35 saves.
