Home team wins in Sweden

After yesterday's surprise win by AIK the higher ranked team won in the Elitserien quarter finals played today. Two games went to overtime while Färjestad won big, 7-3 against Brynäs.
Luleå - Djurgården 2-1 (OT)Luleå was in control of the game against Djugården and had a 1-0 lead with less than two minutes left to play. But then Mika Hannula dumped the puck from the neutral zone, Anders Nilsson was looking for the easy save but let the puck in under his arm, a big mistake by the Luleå keeper that took the game to overtime.
But Josef Boumedienne took a stupid cross checking penalty in the last minute of regular time and only 22 seconds into the overtime Sebastian Enterfeldt picked up a loose puck in front of goal and scored the game winner.
Färjestad - Brynäs 7-3The game between Färjestad and Brynäs was a kind of strange game. The guests took the lead already after 19 seconds by Calle Järnkrok but after that it was all about Färjestad that had 12-3 in shots on goal and managed to score two power play goals. In the second period Färjestad scored twice within the first 29 seconds. After that Brynäs took over the game but Alexander Salak was strong and saved 17 shots.
The third period saw five goals more and the game ended with an impressive 7-3 win for Färjestad. Rickard Wallin was man of the day with five points, one goal and four assists.
Skellefteå - Linköping 4-3 (OT)Skellefteå won the first game against Linköping after overtime. Mikko Lehtonen scored the game winner when he deflected the shot by Tim Erixon. A hard blow for Linköping who tied the game with only 30 seconds left to play of regular time and had been the somewhat stronger team in the overtime.
