In the fifth game of the KHL 1/8 Finals Lokomotiv beat Dinamo Minsk 2-1 in overtime. Dynamo Moskva beat Dinamo Riga 3-1 and Atlant won 2-1 over Severstal.

Lokomotiv won
2-1 in overtime to take a 3-2 lead in the 1/8 Final series against Dinamo Minsk.
Alexander Kalyanin scored the winning goal at 4:41 of the overtime period. Minsk had taken the lead with just 5 seconds remaining of period 1.
Andrei Kiryukhin tied it in the middle of the second period. Lokomotiv managed to get 47 shots on goal.

After two periods the outcome didn't look bright for Moskva. Down 1-3 in the series and 0-1 in the game. However, in the third period they managed to score three goals to win
3-1 and keep the dream about the Quarter Finals alive.
Maxim Velikov,
Alexei Kudashov and
Leo Komarov (empty net) scored the Moskva goals. Riga's 1-0 was scored by
Brock Trotter.

Atlant beat Severstal
2-1 to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Both home goals were scored in the second period by
Fedor Fedorov and
Jan Bulis.
Alexei Tsvetkov scored Severstal´s goal with just 1:32 remaining.
