Today is the beginning of the 2011 KHL playoffs. Regular season winners Avangard Omsk will face Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the first round. You will find all eight match-ups here.
Avangard Omsk led by Roman Cervenka and Jaromir Jagr enters the playoffs with a phenomenal record. They have won the 18 last games of the Regular season. In the first round, the 1/8 final, they will play Nefteknimik Nizhnekamsk.
The 2009 and 2010 champion Ak Bars Kazan will face Barys Astana from Kazakhstan.
