Finland roster for LG Hockey Games

Finland roster for LG Hockey Games

02 Feb 2011 | Petr Polák

The Finnish coach Jalonen named a roster for the upcoming Euro Hockey Tour(EHT) tournament LG Games what will be held from 10th to 13rd February 2011 in Sweden and Russia.

Very interesting are some numbers regarding to the Finnish roster: A Suomi jersey during the LG Hockey Games will be worn by only six men from the last EHT stop in Russia: the goalkeepers couple is completely new and just one defender of this Finnish team was also on the Channel One Cup(Karalahti). From the forwards side there are five nominated players with experiences from the December’s Russian tournament (Pyorälä, Laine, Wirtanen, Louhivaara and Hytönen).
In the comparison of the clubs representation, the highest count of players is comming from SM-liiga’s Jyväskylä (defenders Vatanen and Välivaara, forwards Pihlström, Hyönen and Louhivaara).
In the roster there are just 22 players, the thirteenth forward will be added by the coach Jalonen later.

The Finland roster:
