In 1994 newly formed hockey club stepped in place of the former one, relegated from 1.liga. Tabor earned promotion back to the upper tier in front of a strong and vocal audience in 2009 and managed to earn a play off qualification spot in its first season in 1.liga, partly due to a succesful cooperation with HC MOUNTFIELD.
