Scorpions Johannesburg

Scorpions Ice Hockey club was founded in 2003 out of Carton Centre in the Johannesburg CBD the initial club was made up from of 3 local teams of the time, Namely Blades, Can Am and Crows Ice hockey clubs. In the same year of forming the club we had to move home playing venue to Vereeniging, Edelweiss Ice rink this was a huge blow to both the team numbers as well as spectator value for our club, but for the love of the game we all strived to continue with the club and grow it back to original status.

Years later and 4 consecutive season wins our club has grown in bounds over the years starting with only a senior division team in 2003 we now field an U/16 team, Non contact Senior level, Full contact first Division as well as our original Premier league team. We have also expanded our training grounds with the Premier Hockey team training out of Both Vereeniging "Edelweiss Ice Arena" as well as sharing home ground with the other 3 teams in the club at the Festival Mall ice arena in Kempton Park.
