Goals and assists
Sheffield Steelers will head into the final fixtures of 2019 top of the Elite League after a win by the odd goal in seven against Manchester Storm.
Anthony DeLuca kept his run of goals going with the game's opener at 6:32, followed just over five minutes later by Lucas Sandström doubling the lead. Manchester responded almost instantly as Cameron Critchlow struck 19 seconds later, but by 13:33 the Steelers had gone 3-1 ahead with Sandström's second of the night.
Things got better for the visitors at 16:53 through Brendan Connolly, but Mario Puskarich's marker with 64 seconds left in the period.
A big goal from Puskarich brought the Storm back to within one at 36:37 but despite putting 18 shots on Tomáš Duba in the final period the home side couldn't find the equaliser and were left to wonder what might have been.
