Sheffield Steelers gave their fans an excellent Christmas Present with a 7-0 home win over Manchester to stay top of the Elite League.

The opening goal came at 3:15 - Manchester guilty of turning the puck over in the offensive zone and Anthony DeLuca made no mistake with a backhanded finish. That lead became two just 2:09 later with DeLuca’s second of the night as he beat Ginn top shelf.

Brendan Connolly and Marc-Olivier Vallerand got a goal each as the Steelers moved to a four-goal lead through two periods to take total control of the game. Vallerand added a fifth 1:07 into the final period before DeLuca took over - the forward scored at 44:47 and 54:39 to record four
