Game recap

Coventry Blaze got an important road win to stay in the playoff places while compounding a miserable weekend for Dundee on home ice.

Former Star Charles Corcoran opened the scoring just over seven minutes into the game with what was the only goal of the opening period. However, the Blaze took hold of things in the second with quick goals from John Curran and Evan Bloodoff to race into a 3-0 lead. Dundee did pull a goal back 2:40 from the end of the period to give themselves a lifeline, Drydn Dow's shot from the point evading everyone on the way through.

That hope was however extinguished 4:56 into the final period as Luke Ferrara converted from close range, and then at 51:38 Dillon Lawrence's wrist shot found the net after the Stars turned the puck over coming out of their own zone. Matt Marquardt pulled a goal back at 54:04, and then his effort was rewarded with a late consolation 14 seconds from the end to make it a 3-5 scoreline.
