Game recap

Fife Flyers came back from two goals down to beat league leaders Glasgow Clan in a wild game in Kirkcaldy.

The league-leaders opened the scoring with 6:38 gone when Craig Moore's shot was saved Adam Morrison, but Jordan Heywood was on hand to slot home the rebound. After a spell of Fife pressure the Clan broke quickly and Nolan LaPorte was able to fire past Morrison to double the visitors’ lead at 12:11 - a goal that looked to have set them on their way to a routine win. However, after a Danick Gauthier coast-to-coast effort that looked to have been saved by Patrick Killeen was poked home by Tim Crowder at 15:14 the Flyers semeed to have new life. Just over two minutes later Mike Cazzola tied the game, and then at 18:19 Crowder completed the turnaround by putting the hosts ahead.

Rasmus Bjerrum tied the game at 28:47, only for Cazzola to strike against at 30:10 to put the Flyers back in front. A James Livingston goal from a scramble in front of Killen's net at 34:47 meant the Flyers went two ahead, but Matt Pufahl's goal under two minutes later ensured it would be a gone-goal game going into the final 20 minutes.

The Clan were eventually undone by a powerplay blast from Scott Aarssen with 4:09 to play as Fife celebrated the derby win to end their negative series.
