Belgian Netminder Wouter Peeters got a win on his Guildford debut, making32 saves as the Flames beat Fife 3-2 after overtime in Kirkcaldy.
After the long bus rude up to north of the border, Corbin Baldwin gave the Flames the perfect start with the go-ahead goal after just four minutes. Ian Watters doubled the leader on the powerplay at 22:54 to put the Flames in a commanding position.
Fife however staged a third period comeback, started by Mike Cazzola with 44:47 played. Kyle Just tied the game with 6:02 left in regulation to earn the Flyers a point. However, Brett Ferguson scored the winning goal 97 seconds into the extra period to ensure two points headed back down to Surrey.
