Game recap

Manchester came back from 4-2 down at the Storm Shelter to beat Sheffield in overtime and keep up their excellent home record this season. For the Steelers it was a their first point in three.

Although Chris Auger put the Storm ahead with 8:25 gone, the sides were level at the break after Evan McGrath hit the equaliser at 10:10. An Anthony DeLuca double at 22:37 and 29:25 then put the Steelers two up, before Dallas Ehrhardt cut the deficit back to one at 31:42. The Steelers would however lead by a pair after 40 minutes thanks to Tanner Eberle’s goal with 3:38 left in the period.

A Dane Byers goal 31 seconds into the third period was exactly the start the hosts needed as they pulled the score back to 3-4. With just under ten minutes to go in regulation Chance Braid tied the game, and with both teaming taking a pint after 60 minutes Ciaran Long struck 2:54 into overtime to earn Manchester the bonus point.
