Game recap

Omar Pacha’s Dundee Stars side ended the weekend with two wins out of three thanks to an overtime victory in Nottingham against a Panthers team playing back-to-back home games.

The visitors, who won in Glasgow on Friday and then narrowly lost in Guildford yesterday evening, led after the opening period at the Motorpoint Arena s Mike Sullivan broke the deadlock with 15:28 gone. As they did for much of the game against the Flames, the Stars were leading for a long spell of the match until eventually being pegged back – the equaliser for the Panthers coming thanks to Brett Perlini at 46:41.

However unlike the previous evening, the visitors were not to concede before the end of regulation time and banked a point. They eventually got their rewards with an overtime winner from Matt Bissonnette just 16 seconds into the extra period.

The point for Nottingham keeps them in third, with the win for Dundee keeps them only a point behind of the playoff place ahead of Wednesday’s crucial home game against Coventry.
