Game recap

A goal with 28 seconds to go helped the MK Lightning to pick up another point as they ultimately lost out to Fife in overtime. Carlo Finucci gave Fife the lead early on, before Ivan Siljan tied the game at 9:02. MK then went ahead with 5:01 left in the opening period on the powerplay, however Fife got themselves back on equal terms with a shorthanded effort from Brett Bulmer at 22:40. Bulmer With 27:15 played Bulmer then struck again to put the Flyers 3-2 ahead, and Chase Schaber then extended the lead to two goals with his marker at 32:45.

The third period started with the Lightning getting a shorthanded goal of their own thanks to player-coach Tim Wallace, and at 47:46 Nelson Armstrong brought the hosts level. A Dannick Gauthier goal with 9:05 left to play looked like it had won the game for the visitors until Robbie Baillargeon hit the equaliser at 59:32.

Fife would however take the extra point, Joe Basaraba beating Killeen with 2:54 gone in overtime.
