Game recap

Two goals inside the final three minutes kept Nottingham Panthers in touch with the top two in a 3-1 win over Guildford. For the Flames it meant the third loss in a row, and other results going against them see the team drop to seventh.

In-form Alex Guptill put the Panthers in the lead with 13:37 played at the Motorpoint Arena, assisted by Brett Perlini. That lead thaePanthers held into the break and through to almost midway into the third period until Calle Ackered equalised for the Flames with 48:11 on the board.

As the game looked to be heading to overtime, Guillaume Lepine hit the game winner with 2:36 to go, again assisted by Perlini. Justin Kovacs added an empty netter with 45 seconds remaining to round off the Panthers’ late show.
