Färjestad's Christian Berglund scored four goals against Timrå, three of them from a position behind the goal line. Not so lucky on the other side were Timrå's coaches who left their job after another loss.

Färjestad defeated Timrå with 6-3 on away ice in a strange game on. Christian Berglund scored four goals, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4 and 1-5. The first three of them he scored from behind the goal line, the first both hit Nicklas Torp and went in and the third one went in by the goalie Joakim Lindström. The fourth goal was scored on volley.
"I can only thank the hockey Gods, I'm suffering with Timrå", Berglund said. Timrå are not having any luck at all at the moment and two of the their newest signings Andreas Molinder and Fredrik Bremberg both left the game injured. After the game Timrå's coaches Per-Erik Johnsson and Clas Eriksson announced that they will leave their positions due to the poor results.

Skellefteå still leads the league after a 2-1 shootout win to MoDo who had Mikael Tellqvist back in goal with 36 saves. MoDo tied the game late by Per-Åge Skrøder. But Skellefteå's Erik Forssell got the last word in the shootout and MoDo is still second last.

Brynäs keep on winning after 2-1 in a close game at home to Växjö. Both Brynäs' goals scored on power plays. Växjö are in ninth place just outside the playoff.

Luleå once again showed that they probably are the best defensive team in the league with a solid 3-0 win away to Djurgården. With Johan Gustavsson away at the WJC David Rautio made 29 saves for the shutout. Luleå showed great scoring efficiency with three goals on eight shots in the second period.

After a recent streak of losses HV71 finally won again after 4-0 at home to Frölunda. Daniel Larsson made 27 shots for the shutout.  Frölunda who lead the league earlier in the season has the worst form of all teams in the league right now and has fallen down to sixth place.
