The Italian anthem finally plays in the Ile Lacroix arena: GKS Tychy closes its Superfinals campaign with an unexpected defeat that knocks out the team from the race for the silver plate but, waiting to know the final position in the standing, surely takes back home the title of revelation team. On the other side Asiago escapes from the “flop of the week” award even if the Italian team come to Rouen with ambitions and an eye on the silver plate, but never let the impression to be competitive, along the three games of the weekend. For the last clash coach Pat Lefebvre mixes again the lines, bringing back the trio Bentivoglio-Ulmer-Magnabosco in the first, as commonly in Serie A games. Tychy has Kosowski in the net. After Asiago goalie Carrozzi neutralizing a couple of tries by Kolarz and Kolusz, Asiago opens the score in the first power play: Kosowski rebounds on Matteo Tessari, the wonder-kid Josè Magnabosco is prompt to get in the net. Tychy reaction is furious but Italian team manages to face it, with goalie Carrozzi reactive stopping a coast-to-coast by Kolusz at 13 and a missile by Bepierszcz at 17 and decisive at 18 deflecting a cross shot of Lopuski. The best save was at 19  on Vitek, alone in front of the cage. The second period begins with the second goal of asiago, scored by Andreas Lutz on power play: the defender takes a Kosowski rebound on Nigro, his shot is not irresistible but the goalie can only deflect and follow it landing in the net. Tychy controls the rest of period, gaining a couple of good chances on power play and finally break the resistance of Asiago at 33:11: while Italian bench protest for a controversial episode behind the cage of Polish team, Jaroslaw Rzeszutko well orchestrates a counter-attack with a final pass for an easy open-cage goal by Kolusz. Surviving to a double power play, Asiago scores a capital goal at 43:44 with Layne Ulmer, well assisted by Anthony Luciani. Lutz has then a great chance to definitely kills the game but shots on Kosowski. Tychy increases the pressure giving Asiago the opportunity to play on counterattack and seals the coffin of Polish team at 54:37 on powerplay with Sean Bentivoglio. Coach Sejba decides not to pull the goalie despite the second goal scored by Baginski at 57:51 and an unproductive final assault
