Season 2014/15 was a complete disappointment for Färjestad BK as the team missed the Playoffs for the first time in 20 years. For obvious reasons, the club wasn't satisfied with the results and therefore a great change was in order.

Färjestad had a difficult last season and the team ended up in 7th place. For upcoming season, Färjestad have rebuilt the team to avoid past situation and one the players who's going to lead the team forward, is Magnus Nygren, who's come back to Karlstad and Färjestad: -"We're absolutely going for the trophy. That's something we all have agreed on," he said in a interview for SHL.se earlier.

Färjestad have recruited some good players and among these we find Goalie Lars Haugen. Defensemen Tomas Skogs, Jonas Holös and Mikael Wikstrand. Forwards Robbie Earl, Johan Ryno and former Färjestad player Mikael Johansson

Färjestad have always been a reliable team that goes a long way in the Swedish Hockey League and this year it doesn't seem to be any different. The team have two great goalies with experience, a good setup of defensemen, with the two leaders Magnus Nygren and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen. In the offensive lineup, we find some great snipers and a lot of skilled individuality. Robbie Earl, Johan Ryno, Milan Gulas, Linus Persson and Mikael Johansson are all players who can turn a game around.

Färjestad have their opening game against newcomers Karlskrona HK on September 16 at Arena Karlskrona.
