Regardless of the first period under direction of Denmark, later Belarus "gives five" to Denmark and goes to the second position in Group B.

Over all the first period Denmark was the better team which resulted in its one-goal lead over Belarus after twenty minutes. And it was a beautiful goal. Danes presented with a quick transition to the attacking zone which was finished by a one-touch combination between Nichlas Hardt, Morten Madsen and Julian Jakobsen.

But the second period offered an opposite look of the play. Belarus took over the control of the play, prepared several good scoring chances and thanks to their forwards` emphasis in Denmark`s goalie crease they even scored three times. Artur Gavrus, Yevgeni Kovyrshin and Ilya Schinkevich, they all either appeared in a chance to shoot from short distance which they all used. Suddenly the score was 1-3.

Denmark`s hope to earn some points out of this game even decreased five and half minutes after start of the last period. Kovyrshin was called to a breakaway by Alexander Kulakov. Kovyrshin did a nice backhand deke and skored his second goal in the game (1:4).

Danes reacted and opened the play even more, desperately wanting to correct the score. However as the side effect, also their back door was more open and for several times Denmakr appeared to be outnumbered by Belarus strikers.

One of these chances was used, late in the third: Ivan Usenko send a hard slapshot fron the blue line to close the score at 1-5 for Belarus.
