It is no surprise that Växjö is in the finals, most experts thought they would be here already before the season. But still - it is the first time ever for the club.

Frölunda who finished second in the league's regular season won the first game agaist third seeded Växjö but then Växjö won three in a row before Frölunda won game five.

In game six, today, Växjö took an early lead when Sebastian Erixon scored at nine minutes. Frölunda started the second period on the power-play and tied the game after 54 seconds when Mathis Olimb scored his first playoff goal. Nick Johnson took the home team back to the lead ten minutes later and in the third period two Finnish defensemen scored for Växjö. Teemu Laakso made it 3-1 and in the last minute Ville Varakas scored 4-1 into the empty Frölunda net.

"This is amazing. We have an incredibly good team. Everybody believed that we would go to the finals so we have had a lot of pressure on us. But we are not satisfied, there is still more to go," says Växjö forward Robert Rosen to C More.

In the finals Växjö will play the 2013 and 2014 champion Skellefteå.
