Luleå and Frölunda will play the 2015 Champions Hockey League final on February 3rd in Luleå.
Luleå tied Skellefteå a week ago but won tonight's home game 3-2. Karl Fabricius, Daniel Zaar and Jan Sandström scored for the home team. At the end Skellefteå pulled the goalie while playing shorthanded and managed to get a 3-2 goal, but Luleå kept the lead until the end.
Frölunda beat Kärpät by a 2-goal margin last week. A strong third period by the Finnish team today gave them a 3-1 win at 60 minutes. So the total score was 5-5 and it all had to be decided in overtime. Kärpät got an early power-play opportunity but failed to score. When Frölunda then got a power-play Erik Gustafsson scored on the rebound after Mathis Olimb had hit the post at 65:06.
Two Swedish teams will play the final, but there will also be players from Finland, Norway, Slovakia, Switzerland and Canada.
