Merseyside move for Tigers?

Could the Telford Tigers be looking to make a move to Liverpool? Rumours coming from a Liverpool sporting forum suggest so.

Speculation has been mounting since last summer that Tigers owner Wayne Scholes has his eyes on a big city move. The Tigers took the decision to drop Telford from their name, fuelling further rumors that their future lay away from Shropshire. Scholes is believed to have big ambitions for the Tigers, who currently sit top of the EPL table, eleven points ahead of their nearest rivals.

The re-location could see the Tigers move into the £164 million, 12,000 seat Liverpool Echo Arena as soon as the 2016/17 season. Any move could be on the basis that EPL and NIHL hockey remains in Telford as a feeder system to the new Liverpool team.

Scholes is a big Liverpool FC fan and owns a box at their Anfield stadium, a move to Merseyside could be a dream come true for him.
