Bern 4-3 Fribourg (OT)

Both clubs with one victory and and one defeat, both teams wanted a win tonight especially against a direct rival. Bern started better the with a goal by Martin Plüss assisted by captain Tristan Scherwey. But the response from Fribourg was fast and two minutes lates Christian Dubé tied the game. With a second period without goals, in the third period Bern came out strong and scored two goals in just 10 seconds. First by Pascal Berger then by Canadian Byron Ritchie. But Fribourg didn't want to conced the game and Swiss sniper Julien Sprunger gave the visiting team hope for the final minutes. Three minutes later in a power-play situation Huguenin tied the game. In overtime potential top-scorer Bud Holloway finally gave Bern two points for home team. Fribourg takes one.

Genève Biel (SO)

From the begining Geneve put a lot of pressure on the Biel defense. And that worked. The visiting team made some mistakes and "bad boy" Alexandre Picard profited to score the first goal of game, showing that he's not only expert in PIM but he can also score goals. Two minutes later Geneve made the second goal in a power-play goal by Romain Loeffel. The festival from Geneva continued in the first period with another goal in power-play, Alexandre Picard one more time.

For the second period Biel didn't do worse. And the first goal for the visiting came by Ahren Spylo on a power-play at 21:46. But was nothing that could scare Geneve, two minutes later Daniel Rubin responded with the fourth goal for the home team. When the game seemed to be done Biel had another power-play opportunity and the visiting team was quite good in that exercise so was almost naturally to see Umicevic. Could Biel still change the pace of the game? Gaetan Haas seemed to believe so and one minute later he scored the the third for Biel. It was difficult to guess this kind of scenario after the the first 20 minutes. Want to help Biel this season? Give them power-play situations. And so Geneve did. And Biel scored one more time. Three for three. This time Kamber was the scorer for Biel. In the shootouts Geneve was finally the better team.

Lausanne 2-4 Lugano

In Lausanne, the home team wanted to win for the second time in three games and Lugano wanted to go three for three. Lugano had a better start with a goal by Swedish star Fredrik Pettersson, definitely one of the best players in the league. Like the first two games Lugano was solid in defense, and in the begining of the second period scored two goals in a row in thirty seconds. First by Brett McLean and then by Sebastien Reuille. With three goals advantage Lugano had a comfortable advantage. Almost in the end of second period after a two minutes penalty by Filpula, Lausanne scored their first goal by the Froidevaux assisted by Pesonen. The second goal for Lausanne was scored in the the begining of the third period by Alain Mieville. The home team was once again in the discussion of the game. Lausanne didn't score and with the goalie pulled out, Lugano scored the fourth goal by Fredrik Pettersson. Lugano with three victories in three games starts well the 14/15 league.
