Bern is living an extremely unpleasant experience; Improved performance by Fribourg; Lausanne in wedding crushers mode;

Lugano 4 Bern 0

The Swiss defending champions Bern are living a misery right now. If the regular season would end up today, Bern would be in play-outs. Yesterday the richest team in the country made another bad exhibition.

After a defeat at home against Lausanne(a rival for the play-offs spot) this time was Lugano to put some misery on Bern defense. The most intriguing thing right now is the inexplicable passivity of the Bern system in neutral zone. They are looking like the "space jam" movie. By the minute 17 the game was done with three-nothing(McLean, Maurer, Kparghai) for home team.

When Bern awoke it was to late like Friday night against Lausanne. Coach Lars Leuenberger had tried a new impulse.by giving veteran Ivo Rüthemann a game opportunity and let Mikko Lehtonen instead than 13th forward on the bench. But this measure didn't pay off..

Bern lost seven games in last eleven and have six games to return the situation.

Lausanne 2 Zug 1

Lausanne continue his triumphant way and moved up to a playoff spot. Thanks to a concentrated defensive, home team give one more time a solid performance, the team of coach Heinz Ehlers added in the second victory in just 24 hours.

The fourth victory in a row for Lausanne was more then deserved. After a 2-0 advantage home team had the game must part of the time under control. Bang(2 goals) was the best player on the ice.

Lakers 4 Kloten 6

When everything seemed good for the visiting team(0-4 after 47 minutes and 1-5 after 52 ), home team came out of nowhere and score three goals in three minutes to came only one goal behind.

Finnish player Tommy Santala(two goals, two assists), finally give a victory to Kloten in a empty-net goal.

Fribourg 3 Ambri 0

Fribourg did win thanks to improved performance. Thanks to the 3-0 home victory over Ambri -Piotta, Fribourg moved up to second place in the standings. Long time Ambri-Piotta put a solid fight and thanks to goalie Zurkirchen (34 saves) they stay on the game.

Two goals from Benny Plüss(31th) and Julien Sprunger(36th)  in five minutes, give Fribourg a lead that they wouldn't that go.

This is the second shutout of the season for Benjamin Conz against Ambri at home.
